Switch on to Lonely Planet Television and feast your eyes on some of the best travel programming on the small screen. LPTV have covered the globe for international broadcasters including the Discovery Channel, SBS, Eurosport and Current TV.

On the box, its flagship series, Lonely Planet Six Degrees, screens in over 100 countries. It connects viewers to what makes each city special - the people that live in it. Then there's The Sport Traveller, taking you to some of the world's greatest sporting cities.

But it's not all about cities. The Going Bush series takes you on an off-road adventure through the Australian outback - the path less travelled, brought to your living room. And Vintage New Zealand brings you a taste of fine wine from Tolkien country.

But what's this? You want to find a place where you can share your videos of real travel experiences with other travellers? Well, LPTV has made just that. There's now a video channel at www.lonelyplanet.tv.

The web channel features original LPTV-produced travel programming that streams alongside the clips you make. Oh, and it's 100% travel videos by travellers for travellers.

You can upload your own travel footage from files, phones and webcams and share it with other like-minded, independent souls.

The box just got smaller!

So you think you're the next Asha Gill, host of Lonely Planet Six Degrees? Well, we're a creative and professional bunch at LPTV and that's what we'd be looking for. We hire production personnel and presenters on a freelance basis, putting together the best team for each particular programme.

There are currently no vacancies in Lonely Planet Television, but it never hurts to be on our radar. If you wish to introduce yourself and send your resume, please email it to info@lonelyplanet.tv.

Showreels can be posted to:
LPTV, Locked Bag 1, Footscray, Melbourne, Vic 3011, Australia.

Please note that LPTV does not have internship or work experience programmes.
Lonely Planet Television has a slate of programmes in development, covering topics as diverse as travel, adventure, food, cultural, youth and lifestyle programming. But we're smart enough to know we don't have a monopoly on good ideas or gripping stories. We're open to developing co-operative ventures with production companies and creative individuals worldwide.

If you wish to submit a proposal to us, please keep it short, sweet and to the point. Proposals can be emailed to info@lonelyplanet.tv. We respond to all proposals, but regret that posted proposals cannot be returned.
